Full Featured Reporting and Printing Capabilities for Windows CE
Design and Print Reports, Invoices, Quotes, and Receipts

Cambridge, MA (October 22nd, 1999) - SYWARE, Inc., a leading developer of Windows CE, ODBC, and database tools, today released Report CE®, a full featured reporting and printing tool for Windows CE. Users of Report CE can easily create and print custom reports from any Windows CE 2.0 or higher based device (H/PC, H/PC Pro, and P/PC). In addition to creating and printing traditional reports, Report CE can be used to create and print invoices, quotes, and customer receipts.

Report CE works in conjunction with Visual CE®, SYWARE's popular database and forms builder for Windows CE, or Microsoft Pocket Access. Reports are based on tables built by Visual CE or Pocket Access. A single report may draw data from multiple tables.

Design and layout of reports is performed on a desktop or on a device. Reports can include a header, a footer, the data, and calculated data. They can be printed via the IR port of a P/PC device, through the print capabilities built into H/PC and H/PC Pro devices, or from the desktop. Filtering allows you to choose only the records you wish to view and columns can be sized for efficient, professional presentation. The data can also be saved to a text file enabling import to other applications.

Report CE can be used in conjunction with any 32-bit Windows based desktop, or stand alone on any Windows CE based device. It is sold as a separate tool for use with Visual CE or Pocket Access, or as part of Visual CE Enterprise Edition. Visual CE Enterprise Edition includes a royalty free license to distribute created forms based applications, databases, and custom reports. Report CE 1.0 can be purchased stand alone for US$79.00. All Visual CE licensees are eligible for a $30 discount, and can purchase Report CE 1.0 for US$49.00

Report CE is also sold as part of Visual CE Enterprise Edition (US$599). Visual CE Enterprise Edition includes the capabilities of Visual CE Pro, Report CE, and a license to distribute created applications, databases, and custom reports royalty free.Visual CE Professional Edition licensees may upgrade to Visual CE Enterprise Edition for the difference in price (US$200).
