Technologies Chooses SYWARE's Visual CE® Software Toolset to
Add Mobility to Robust R:BASE Database Management System

industrial strength, multi-user, relational database R:BASE, has
partnered with SYWARE, Inc., to launch the first mobile member of
the R:BASE family of database products, Pocket R:BASE. The
new software, designed for the Pocket PC platform, combines R:BASE's
expertise in robust database management systems with SYWARE's award-winning
mobile forms development toolset, Visual CE.

Intuitive
Database & Forms Builder Software
Pocket R:BASE is based on Visual CE's powerful forms development
environment. It provides an intuitive, drag-and-drop interface that
allows operators to quickly create forms and interface with R:BASE
databases without coding. Forms can be designed and maintained either
on a Pocket PC handheld or on a desktop computer. Once the application
is developed, records can be easily beamed from one handheld device
to another. Other features include pop-up word lists, the ability
to create pre-defined data filters, robust font selection, multi-select
dropdowns, and calculations on string data. A macro programming
capability allows for the easy creation of multi-step sequences.

R:BASE will be unveiled at the R:BASE Developers' conference in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, April 4-7, 2003.
